Teenage Shelters
Whether situated in parks, schools, recreational facilities, or outside the workplace, these shelters are highly durable, vandal resistant and withstand even the most extreme of weather conditions.
Designed in the boldest of colours, these rest and meeting areas offer an attractive and comfortable outdoor seating environment for everyone, for all circumstances, including youths, parents, walkers, joggers, employees etc. Because of the variety, affordability and durability of our shelters, they have been successfully specified and installed al over the UK.

By providing an undercover area, offering shade and weather protection, these shelters help encourage individuals, particularly youths, to spend more of their time in a healthier way - socialising outdoors.
Police research has highlighted that unsociable behaviour and petty crime is reduced in areas that offer shelters as a designated meeting point for teenagers.
Latest Exhibitons
Saltex 2009: This year at Windsor race course, Base Leisure was able to showcase its latest products on the Broxap stand. IOG SALTEX is the only outdoor event in the UK where thousands of visitors flock to see hundreds of live working demonstrations, new product launches and over 460 leading industry suppliers as well as exciting visitor features and an invaluable education programme. One of the main features of the Broxap stand was our Trojan shelter, displayed amongst products from one of our sister divisions, Hand Made Places.
Latest Installations
(1) Trojan Shelter on Tarmac Pad. The project was in Colne, Cambridgeshire where we supplied, delivered and installed the Trojan Shelter with a 3.6m x 2.5m, tarmac pad. The Trojan colours shown are Traffic Red and Moss Green. All Shelters are available in any colour from the Base standard range.
(2) Y-POD Shelter into grassed area. The photograph show a ½ standard Y-Pod in Jet Black and Gentian Blue which was installed into the grassed are only. The Y-Pod can be supplied with full wind deflectors and flat seating as an option.
(3) Trojan ‘Youth’ Shelters with a tarmac pad. Colours shown are: Traffic Red and Gentian Blue
(4) Half Y-POD Shelter - Pennington - Nov 08. One of our latest projects was in Lymington, Hampshire were we supplied a half Y-Pod shelter next to a skate park and the tarmac pad was extended to accommodate the Shelter. The colours shown are Pure Orange and Gentian Blue.
