New Installations for Base Leisure

Posted at 3:00 pm under General News

It’s proving to be another busy and successful year for our ‘MUGAs’ and ever popular youth shelters.

We have an exciting range of projects underway throughout the country, from here in Dorset to Cornwall, South Gloucestershire and Kent. Each one of the projects has been individually designed, manufactured and will be installed to encourage active, outdoor lifestyles.

From concrete jungle to MUGA for the City of Westminster

City of Westminster - MUGA (Before)As you can imagine, space is at a premium in central London. So when the City of Westminster wanted to provide new facilities for the citizens in their community, every option had to be considered…including this uninviting area of concrete under the A40.

But with a little imagination and our design, manufacturing and installation capability, even this unusual space was rapidly brought to life by a Base ‘MUGA’ facility!

Strong, safe, vandal resistant and specifically tailored to fit, our facility means it’s game on for young
people, whatever the weather.

Rebecca Cloke of the City of Westminster says:

“This was a unique and challenging project for the Base Leisure team and they successfully rose to that challenge.

Though the project went through a number of changes I was delighted with the way Base managed and delivered it. The new facility they have created is a real asset to the local community.”
